When you're beginning your side hustle of sex work, one of the key important things to remember is how to price your services. We are in the times of inflation with the pandemic and lack of employment opportunities. However, this is all the more reason to casually raise your prices. I know what you're probably thinking, "I'm new and inexperienced - help!" Rest assured you can do this too.
Before the pandemic, I personally was okay with setting up my rates at 0.99 per minute. With that rate, it gave me a chance to gain some experience and customers. Customers were able to build a trust with me. It also gave the opportunity for them to come back for more.
Now... things are different. Prices have gone up for food and utilities, and so a raise is absolutely necessary. Even if you don't have experience in sex work. I wouldn't recommend you set your price at 5.99 per minute with no experience, unless you're confident about your ability to make your customer cum. However, if you're on the fence about how good you'd be with making them cum, I suggest you start with a rate of 1.99 to 2.99 per minute. It's still a fair rate for the both of you. As time permits, and more experience is gained, along with confidence, then you can raise your prices to a higher rate.
If you are doing business with TalkToMe, you'll need permission to raise your rates higher than 2.99 I believe, so be sure to contact customer service with your request.
Adding rates are fairly easy to do, the sites make it pretty easy to set up, navigate, and access. The key to success doesn't just lie in the rates, it lies in your consistency. So, picture it for just a second, best case scenario you set your rate at the highest for an amateur at 2.99 a minute, that will only begin to add up and be lucrative if you are consistent in taking calls and streaming for live cams.
